Neighborhood Day Camps are back! The affordable summer day camps for youth ages 8-13 are returning to Minneapolis neighborhood parks for Summer Break.
Themed, all-day camps run Tuesday-Friday throughout the summer for $0-10 per child, depending on park location. Spots are starting to fill up, so sign up soon!

2023 Neighborhood Day Camp Basics
Who: Youth ages 8-13
What: Low-cost, four-day youth summer camps
Where: Camps offered at two locations in every park service area. Every camp is not offered at every site, see registration for specifics.
- North: Farview and Creekview
- Northeast/Southeast: Logan and Van Cleve
- Southwest: MLK and Bryant Square
- Lower South: Longfellow and Brackett
- Upper South: Corcoran and Powderhorn
When: Tuesday-Friday, 10 am-5 pm
Dates: Camps are all four days each, spanning June 27-Aug. 18. First camp runs June 27-30, Last camp runs August 15-18.
Cost: $0-10 per camp, per child, for Minneapolis residents.
Good to Know: Pack a lunch, swimsuit suggested, these camps take place primarily outdoors so dress for the weather and be aware campers may travel offsite.

Camp Themes

Arts Dabbler Camp
Dabble in all things art! Campers will try out visual and performing arts in fun outdoor spaces.
Cycling Explorers Camp
New adventures every day while exploring Minneapolis on a bike! This is not a learn-to-bike program, participants must be able to bike at least four miles. Bikes are available to borrow.
Farm-to-Table Camp
Spend time learning about local edible plants from a Master Gardener and hopefully catch some fish! Then head to the rec center kitchen to create delicious dishes.
Great Outdoors Camp
Discover Minneapolis’ beautiful urban outdoor landscape! Campers will learn archery basics and canoe one of our beautiful city lakes.
Wet & Wild Camp
Water activities galore! This camp is all about water – swimming, slides and water all day long!
