Neighborhood Day Camps offer weeklong, all-day summer fun at Minneapolis Parks for just $10!

The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) is excited to offer new Neighborhood Day Camps this summer! Ten themed, all-day, weeklong camps are available June-August for the low cost of $10 per child. Use the link below to browse options and register:

Neighborhood Day Camp Basics

Who: Youth ages 7-14
What: Weeklong camps offering summer fun through 10 different themes (see below for more info on each theme)
Where: Camps rotate through parks in all areas of Minneapolis
When: Monday-Friday, 10 am-5 pm
Dates: Camps are all one week each, spanning June 21-Aug. 27. First camp runs June 21-25, Last camp runs August 23-27.
Cost: $10 per camp, per child.

Sports Sampler Camp at Powderhorn Park

Get your game on! Our sports camps give campers the chance to spend the summer enjoying their favorite sports, learning new skills and making friends. Our goal is to offer campers a fun and exciting opportunity to learn and play spots. Our trained sports staff teach campers the rules and etiquette of sports in an instructional and recreational environment.

Summer Survivor Camp at Van Cleve Park

Based on the famous long-running Survivor television show, players will face both team and individual challenges both physical and mental in nature. Trophies, points and prizes are available throughout the many wacky challenges that will make up this action-packed week.

Camp Themes

Art Through Science Camp

Bring your creative side and your scientific mind to craft unique works of art! Experiment with nature, paint, and chemical reactions during this explosive camp.

Cycling Camp

Fun happens here! Our summer Cycling camp offer campers the opportunity to develop overall bicycling skills, explore the local trail systems, lots of hands-on learnings, and cultivate a love for bicycling at a young age. Our bike-based programs promote skill development, exploration, physical wellness, personal responsibility, and teamwork. Our trained staff will include activities such as basic bike maintenance skills, developing safe riding habits, and learning about pedestrian and biking infrastructure. Note** Must know how to ride a bike to participate.

Great Outdoors Camp

A week full of traditional outdoor activities will get campers outside and moving in Nature. This week focuses on all things outdoors. Campers will have a chance to make their mark in archery, sample canoeing, fishing, and swimming in our lakes and rivers, engage in arts and crafts, nature studies, and outdoor games. A great introduction Minneapolis’ unique urban outdoor treasures.

Imagineers Camp

Dream big and create wonderous designs in this camp. We will use our imaginations to construct your very own invention out of every day materials. Design a future park, build a skyscraper, create a roller coaster, or invent the next “must-have” item!

Olympics Celebration Camp

On your mark, get set, go! You will personally experience the excitement of various Olympic sports & activities throughout each day. Prepare to motivate yourself and your teammates as you make your way to the podium!

Theater Camp

The spotlight is on you! We’ll spend a week diving into all things theater. Campers will learn improv skills, work on stage direction, create their own scripts, engage in aspects of technical theater such as set design and costuming. No need for prior experience, everyone will have opportunities to participate on stage and behind the scenes. Our week will end with a COVID safe, outdoor performance for families.

Wet & Wild Camp

Held in the heat of the hottest summer months, join us for a week of the zaniest water based activities ever. Giant slip and slides, dunk tanks, yuck relays and tug-o-war & water balloons just name a few.

“Wheel” Deal Camp

Campers will have a hands on experience on a variety of activities with 1, 2, or 4 wheels. Some activities included will be biking, scooters, and skateboarding, just to name a few. You are bound to have a “wheel” good time at this day camp.
