Flooding Closes Portion of Wirth Parkway

The City of Minneapolis Public Works Department has closed Wirth Parkway from Golden Valley Road to Plymouth Ave N due to flooding. All traffic will be detoured to Xerxes Avenue N. Access to the Chalet parking lot and the Theodore Wirth Par 3 building is available by entering Wirth Parkway from Highway 55 / Olson Memorial Highway.

Wirth Parkway will remain closed until City of Minneapolis crews can clear water from the road. However, with rain forecasted through Thursday, the parkway may not reopen until the weekend.
