Youth Design Camp to create concepts for Peavey Park picnic shelter
What
This two-day design camp is a unique opportunity for young people to help design a picnic shelter for Peavey Park! Through hands-on activities, they will focus on the potential design for a picnic shelter and learn how an architectural project moves from the idea stage to become a concept, a plan, and finally, an actual built structure.
Who
Youth ages 13 to 17 in the Phillips neighborhood
Adults are welcome to observe and will be asked not to participate.
Where
Hope Academy, 2300 Chicago Avenue, Minneapolis, just south of Peavey Park. Enter at the doors on Chicago Avenue.
When
Tuesday, June 27 and Thursday, June 29, from 9 am to 12 noon each day.
Light morning refreshments and box lunches will be provided.
