Lobby for Parks

Join Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) Commissioners, leadership, youth and community members to share information with the Governor’s Office about the importance of state funding for a variety of initiatives, including, but not limited to:

• Teen employment and youth development
• Recreation services, including skate parks
• Mississippi riverfront park projects

Gather at 12:00 pm in Room 500 North of the State Office Building, then at 12:45 pm walk over to meet with the Governor’s staff. Join us to show the Governor’s Office how much Minneapolis parks mean to you and to encourage support and funding for the parks.

There are several parking options near the State Office Building, including: a pay parking ramp next to the State Office Building, off of Rice Street; and pay surface Parking Lot AA west of the State Office Building, on the Corner of Rice Street and Aurora Avenue (entrance on Aurora Ave).
