Cedar Avenue Field Master Plan Public Hearing

On Wednesday, July 12, 2016, at 6:30 pm, the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) will hold a public hearing to amend the South Service Area Master Plan (SSAMP) to include a plan for Cedar Avenue Field.  The hearing will be held in the Board Room at MPRB Headquarters, 2117 West River Road, Minneapolis. Individuals wishing to speak at the hearing may call 612-230-6400 to sign up in advance, or may simply appear in person at the hearing.  After the hearing the MPRB Commissioners will consider approving the Cedar Avenue Field plan and amending the SSAMP to include it. 

The plan for Cedar Avenue Field is the result of more than nine months of engagement with the surrounding neighborhood, the Little Earth community, and the East Phillips Improvement Coalition. The plan reflects community desires for the park and will guide capital improvements over the next 20-30 years.

The final plan to be considered for approval will be made available to the public when the Board Meeting agenda and packet is made public, around the Friday before the June 12 meeting.  At that time the public may access the document and all supporting materials via the project website.  For general information about the planning process to date, visit the project website or contact the project manager.
