Bossen Field Park Grand Opening Celebration

Please join the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board and South Minneapolis community to celebrate numerous upgrades recently completed at Bossen Field Park in a family-friendly community event at the park scheduled Monday, Aug. 7, 2017 at 6 pm.

Grand opening festivities include a ribbon cutting ceremony featuring local officials and neighborhood leaders, cool treats, a face painter and temporary tattoo artist. We hope to see you there!

The extensive overhaul of Bossen Field Park included all new play equipment at the relocated playground, a new basketball court, added parking and pathways, new open play fields and renovated, realigned softball fields.

Work in the southern section of the park is largely complete, while the four new softball fields in the northern section of the park will remain closed until 2018 to let natural turf establish.
