Two events related to the Minnehaha Creek Master Plan are coming up. First, a third pop-up bike park will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2018, 5-7 pm at Lynnhurst Recreation Center, 1345 W Minnehaha Parkway. These pop-up bike parks are hosted in partnership with Minneapolis Bike Parks. MPRB staff will take input on the Minnehaha Trail Master Plan and attendees can try out several small features that riders of all ages, from striders to skilled adults, will be able to ride over and around.
Volunteers will help guide and spot the riders in order to keep participants safe as they navigate the course. If you’re curious about bike parks, come check it out, then share your thoughts on Minnehaha Creek and the parkland and trails running along its banks through the city of Minneapolis.
Next, the third Community Advisory Committee (CAC) meeting is scheduled Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018, 6-8 pm, also at Lynnhurst Recreation Center. This meeting will be a workshop-style event for CAC members and the general public to begin setting a vision for the creek corridor as a whole and identifying design principles for specific areas of improvement.
