Attend a Community Advisory Committee Meeting on Thursday, April 23 to provide input on the North Mississippi Regional Park
The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) is working on a plan to improve and care for North Mississippi Regional Park for the next 20+ years.
A Community Advisory Committee (CAC) made up of local residents and park users meets regularly to help shape the plan. These meetings are open to everyone.
Two initial concepts explore different ideas for the future of North Mississippi Regional Park. One focuses on activation and gathering spaces, while the other emphasizes ecology and natural restoration. Both improve trails and connections throughout the park in ways that support their main theme. These concepts are not final designs. They are starting points to help us learn what community members value most.
There are two upcoming opportunities to provide input.

- Make sure the park meets community needs
- Keep the park financially and ecologically sustainable
Plans are developed with community input and approved by the MPRB Board of Commissioners.
