Futsal soccer court is open; more park improvements are coming!

A long-planned futsal soccer court is now open at Clinton Field Park! Outfitted with lighting and sized for tournament play, it will host a tournament next spring organized by Whittier Alliance and Futsal Society, part of a grand opening celebration.

This is one of three futsal courts that the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) built this year in neighborhood parks: The other two are at Whittier Park and Audubon Park.

Plans for Additional Improvements

The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) has funding available in 2027-2028 to construct additional park improvements based on the Clinton Park concept plan developed and approved in 2023-2024.

MPRB will share more information on the opening celebration and additional park improvements next year.

Thanks for your support while MPRB works to improve Minneapolis parks!

Special Thanks to Hennepin County and its Youth Activities Grants Program, which supported construction of the futsal soccer court at Clinton Park.
