The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board hosts a wonderful variety of ways to celebrate Juneteenth over the next week!
Events
Juneteenth Celebrating Freedom Day
Saturday, June 14, 12-6 pm
Bethune Park, 1304 N 10th Ave.
The Juneteenth Freedom Day event celebrates African American history and culture with food, music, entertainment, vendors, and a beautiful community vibe!
Performances by Known MPLS, Ashley DuBose, Jackson Hurst, Maya Marchelle, Ginger Commodore, Lewiee Blaze, T. Mychael Rambo, Bdot Croc, and Thomasina Petrus.
Peavey Juneteenth Event
Saturday, June 14, 11 am-4 pm
Peavey Park, 730 E22nd St.
Celebrate culture and community at Peavey Park! This powerful day of reflection and joy will feature spoken word performances, storytelling, flag football, soccer games, t-shirt making and delicious food for all to enjoy. We will also do a craft project while learning about the elements of the Juneteenth flag and participate in some fun trivia for prizes.
Juneteenth Eve Celebration: The Freedom Session

Green Central is offering a safe space for the community. Artists, musicians, poets, painters and those who love and appreciate the arts are welcomed. Come express freedom through words, music and the arts. Original material strongly encouraged.
