MPRB Board of Commissioners approved playground concept plan

The MPRB Board of Commissioners approved the concept plan along with play equipment and surfacing purchase at their May 7 meeting. Project improvements include refurbishing swing standards with new paint and swings, replacing all play equipment in the 2-5 play container, refurbishing the large play structure in the 5-12 play container, replacing free standing play elements in the 5-12 container, adding nature play elements like a sand table, sand diggers, tree trunks and log slices into the third play container. Other improvements include a community message board, additional bike parking, and replacement of the basketball hoops. The main construction for these improvements is set to begin early to mid-September, though some improvements, like the basketball hoops and bike parking, may occur sooner.
