Installation of the replacement boardwalk to begin this August

MPRB staff have moved through final design and regulatory approval and are gearing up to begin installation of the replacement boardwalk this August. MPRB Natural Resources staff will lead the installation and manage conservation corps staff for the work. This will allow staff to move forward with the appropriate level of care and protect/promote the sensitive plant communities to the extent possible. The new floating boardwalk will improve habitat conditions for bog flora and fauna, improve access to the Quaking Bog, and provide new seating and passing areas.

The related Theodore Wirth Regional Park Wayfinding project to add interpretive signage and trail improvements is also underway and will be in construction at a similar timeframe.
