Detour route has been established for motor vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians
A portion of West River Parkway will remain closed for undetermined amount of time following last evening’s mudslide. The street is now closed from 4th Street South to Franklin Avenue.
The closure also affects walking and biking trails through that stretch. The section of the parkway between 4th Street South and 13th Avenue South is reopening this afternoon, which will allow access to Bohemian Flats.
A detour route has been established by the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board and the City of Minneapolis’ Public Works. Traffic will be re-routed from West River Parkway to Riverside Avenue South/Franklin Avenue South. Detour signs for motorized vehicles, cyclists and pedestrian traffic will be posted. View the full detour route [PDF].
The Minneapolis Queen and Paradise Charter Cruises will maintain their regular hours and services.
