April 3, 2023 marked the 140th anniversary of the Minneapolis Park Board. To celebrate, the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) invited staff, volunteers, park visitors and community leaders to share their Minneapolis park stories in a project called 140 Years: Our Parks, Our Stories.
The MPRB is excited to announce that a selection of the stories collected over the past year will be on view at the Minneapolis Institute of Art (Mia) February 3-25, 2024! The Our Parks, Our Stories exhibition will be free for all to enjoy during regular Mia hours, 10 am-5 pm Tuesday-Sunday, with hours extended until 9 pm on Thursdays.
