In the coming weeks, people using Folwell Park may see logs or other obstacles in various locations.
The obstacles are temporary and are intended to deter vehicles from driving in the park, which is unsafe and illegal. The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) has placed the obstacles in response to recent reports of this activity.
If you see a vehicle (other than a Park Police vehicle) anywhere in the park, please call 911 to report it.
The MPRB thanks everyone for their understanding and support as we work to maintain safe parks that are welcoming for all.
In the past several years, the MPRB has made many improvements at Folwell Park, including recreation center updates and a new playground, paved paths and athletic field lighting.
