The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board will soon continue its study and design work at Lake Hiawatha. Work will include community engagement and outreach, ongoing water quality and groundwater pumping data collection, study of groundwater in greater detail, study of traffic and parking, phase I environmental site assessment, ALTA/topographical survey of site, and preliminary design and cost estimating.
It is anticipated this work will take approximately two years to complete and will produce timelines for detailed design and cost estimating of one or more implementation projects.
Stay tuned for future updates as this project kicks off this spring. Near future updates will include the introduction of the project charter and schedule.
