The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) is excited to announce a July 21 ribbon cutting for playground improvements at Kenny Park. Scheduled for 6pm, the brief ceremony includes:
- Cool popsicle treats (while supply lasts)
- Brief remarks from MPRB Superintendent Al Bangoura, President Meg Forney, District 6 Commissioner Abene and other local officials
- A kick-off for the neighborhood’s Kenny Festival
Kenny Park is at 1328 W 58th St. in Minneapolis.
Improvements at the playground included new equipment, decking and slides; painting of metal play equipment components and other updates; new surfacing; and construction of a new play area with a large new climbing structure.
MPRB extends a special thanks to the Kenny Parent Foundation for funding the new play area and climbing structure.
