The Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board (MPRB) is pleased to announce an improvements project at Sibley Park in south Minneapolis.
The project will replace the playground equipment as well as the wading pool. In addition, MPRB will engage with the Sibley Park community to explore a possible name change. Construction is planned for summer 2022.
These improvements are based on Sibley Park’s master plan, approved in 2016 as part of the South Service Area Master Plan for all neighborhood parks in the area.
The first step in the planning process is an online survey to gather community input about the playground and wading pool improvements The survey is open through June 25, 2021.
