Turf on the park’s new field has been growing all season and will be strong enough for foot traffic, sports, community gatherings and general activities.

The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) thanks everyone for their patience this summer during the establishment period for the turf.
Note: Funding for the recent improvements at Peavey Park includes a $1.1 million allocation from the 20-Year Neighborhood Park Plan (NPP20), a historic agreement between the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) and the City of Minneapolis. NPP20 helps address racial and economic equity across 160 neighborhood parks and provides $11 million annually to maintain, repair and replace facilities.
