Picnic Operetta
Join us for Mixed Precipitation Theatre’s presentation of “Mozart’s The Clemency of Tito’s Tennis Club: A Picnic Operetta.” Mount Vesuvius is rumbling. Coach Tito is resurrecting a floundering tennis club. He’s recruiting the shunned cheaters and offenders and bad sports – each seeking redemption and a chance to play in Rome’s biggest match. But a murderous revenge plot threatens their future. Will they find redemption before the volcano erupts. All is presented with the Picnic Operetta’s trademark style of playfulness, satire, and hope. Classic arias and duets like Parto, parto, ma tu, ben mio and Ah, perdona al primo affetto sore across the garden alongside new wave pop hits by Devo, Berlin, Blondie, and Depeche Mode.
$15.00 minimum donation requested. Reservations are strongly encouraged. No one turned away for lack of funds.
