This year-long project in 2023 celebrates 140+ years of Minneapolis Park history. A recognition of both documented and un-documented histories, and the inter-woven stories that make up our renowned park system, we celebrate the past while also looking to the future through the uncovering of new stories and perspectives that haven’t been heard. Our Parks, Our Stories activates storytelling opportunities, archival remembering, and the collection of community stories within the parks to own and shape their history.

MPRB is collecting personal stories of staff, park users, and community members from across Minneapolis parks to build our narrative for our past, present and future history. Submit your story to the community archive using one of these forms: English, Español, Soomaali, Hmoob
