Northeast Athletic Field construction update

Construction on a new premier ball field at Northeast Athletic Field Park will wrap up for the year in the coming weeks after dugouts, fencing, netting and foul poles are installed.
Work already completed includes most of the earthwork and grading, installing and seeding rain gardens and putting up new field lighting, which will be operational in the spring.
Irrigation and sod will be installed next spring. Construction is expected to wrap up next summer with the field playable by fall. It is important for people to stay out of the construction area until construction fencing is removed to maintain a safe environment and allow the seed and turf to establish.
