Whittier Park Improvements: Community Engagement
Posted on 11 August, 2022In summer 2022, MPRB staff partnered with Whittier International Elementary School in a cross-age mentoring summer camp called Natural Leaders. Through the camp, MPRB staff and Teen Teamworks employees engaged with youth and families from the community at Whittier Park to develop ideas to improve the park and its play spaces. The camp also provided an opportunity to engage the families with other planning projects in the neighborhood, such as planned improvements at Clinton Field and the 28th Street Tot Lot Park.
