Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board moves to all virtual board meetings

Due to the increasing numbers of COVID-19 cases, the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) announced all future Board of Commissioners meetings will be completely virtual with limited MPRB staff on site at Mary Merrill MPRB headquarters at 2117 West River Road North.

Virtual meetings are authorized under Minn. Stat. 13D.021 and will begin with the November 18, 2020 meeting. Board meetings will continue to be completely virtual until further notice.

No members of the public will be allowed inside the building for the board meeting. Instead, community members who wish to offer comments on any agenda items may do so by calling in or writing in. Times for all agenda items, including open time/ public comments / public hearings, are listed in the board agenda which is sent out the Friday before the board meetings. Community members wanting to call in may sign up to provide comment for open time/ public comment / public hearing by phone by completing this form before 12 pm on the day of the board meeting.

  • Speakers will be sent a call-in number and conference ID one hour before the meeting
  • Speakers can call into the meeting using the call-in number and conference ID at its the scheduled time
  • Speakers will enter the meeting and the committee chair will provide guidance for commenting
  • Speakers can watch the meeting through normal meeting broadcast
  • Be aware there is a 20-30 second lag between the call and the broadcast

Please turn off the broadcast sound when you are called on to speak.
