Ambassador Volunteers represent the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board at various park sites throughout the city. They help thousands of park visitors each year by providing information about programs, services and facilities.
Park Ambassador Volunteers
Park Ambassador Volunteers are mobile sources of information about park programs, services and facilities. In addition to welcoming patrons, answering basic questions, and directing visitors to programs and attractions of interest, Park Ambassador Volunteers also serve as on-site contacts for permitted public and private events. Volunteers interested in this position should be enthusiastic about interacting with diverse audiences, have an interest in making connections between people and parks, enjoy working in busy outdoor environments, possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and be able to pass a background check.
