SUMMARY:Youth Design Camp to create concepts for Peavey Park picnic shelter
DESCRIPTION:What  \nThis two-day design camp is a unique opportunity for young people to help design a picnic shelter for Peavey Park! Through hands-on activities\, they will focus on the potential design for a picnic shelter and learn how an architectural project moves from the idea stage to become a concept\, a plan\, and finally\, an actual built structure.  \nWho\nYouth ages 13 to 17 in the Phillips neighborhood \nAdults are welcome to observe and will be asked not to participate.  \nWhere\nHope Academy\, 2300 Chicago Avenue\, Minneapolis\, just south of Peavey Park. Enter at the doors on Chicago Avenue.  \nWhen\nTuesday\, June 27 and Thursday\, June 29\, from 9 am to 12 noon each day. \nLight morning refreshments and box lunches will be provided.  \nAdditional information\nThe camp is free and reservations are not required. If you know you will attend\, please email Daniel Elias.
