Six upcoming workshops focus on parks grouped by neighborhoods

Thank you to all community members working together to create the Southwest Service Area Master Plan, called SW Parks Plan for short. Community Advisory Committee (CAC) meeting #4 was held Tuesday, Oct. 16 at Kenwood Recreation Center. Thanks everyone for your excellent work at that meeting looking through and interpreting data collected so far!

It’s been great to see so many people engaged and excited about the project. Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board staff attended more than 100 public events over the summer to gather ideas on SW parks. Now our focus shifts to Community Workshops and Design Week.
