Also, in response to a CAC member request, below is a bit of clarification about the Youth Development budget provided by Heidi Pope, MPRB Director of Youth Development:
Both $4 million and $2 million have been stated as the Youth Development annual budget. The total Youth Development department budget is $4,167,380, however, that includes the Rec Plus program (which is a fee-based school-age care program). The youth programs portion of the budget (which includes Youthline, Teen Teamworks, summer camps and other seasonal programs) is $1,905,058.
