Project plans approved and out for bids; construction expected to begin by late July

The play area project is scheduled to begin construction at the end of July with an expected late summer opening date. The plans were approved by the City of Minneapolis on April 27 and the Bassett Creek Watershed Management Commission on May 17.

Bids will be accepted from contractors for three weeks beginning May 22. If an acceptable bid is received, MPRB Commissioners will consider the contract for approval at an upcoming Board meeting, and if approved, construction on the project will begin quickly.
