Next CAC meeting October 16; Six workshops for park groupings scheduled late October-early November

Thank you to all of the community members working together to create the Southwest Service Area Master Plan, called SW Parks Plan for short. Since the project launched last summer, Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board staff have attended more than 100 events in Southwest Minneapolis to raise awareness and get feedback on the project. More than 300 comments have been submitted through our online survey, which is linked at the end of this email.

Design Week: November 12-16

Make sure to mark your calendars for Design Week, Nov. 12-16! Interactive events scheduled across the week, combined with the discussions and feedback received since the project launched last summer, will result in the first drafts of park designs for all 43 park properties in the Southwest Parks Plan.

These designs will be refined over the winter and spring, and once finalized, they will guide how neighborhood parks in Southwest Minneapolis are improved in the coming decades. Stay tuned, more details on Design Week to come later.
