Improvements project at Bassett’s Creek Park is ready to begin!
Posted on 28 May, 2019Earlier this year the North Service Area Master Plan was approved and set us on a path to funding and laying out improvements for neighborhood parks in North Minneapolis. Bassett’s Creek Park sits halfway in the Bryn Mawr Neighborhood and halfway in the Harrison Neighborhood. Last year, improvements were made to the Bryn Mawr half of the park and this year we are improving the Harrison side of the park.
The first step in this process is to create a Community Engagement Plan, which guides the MPRB on who it reaches out to and how it does so for each of its projects. Project staff will be formulating this Community Engagement Plan with the help of the community. Once it is formed, open houses will be scheduled, surveys will be sent out, and the project will start taking shape.
