Stormwater management project near Minnehaha Creek wraps up in May

A city of Minneapolis stormwater management project that upgraded four pump stations near Minnehaha Creek will wrap up in May. Areas affected:

  • 54th Street and Upton Avenue
  • 52nd Street and Morgan Avenue
  • 51st Street and James Avenue
  • Minnehaha Parkway and Stevens Avenue

Trail and parkway detours related to this work are scheduled to be lifted by the end of May after final site restoration is complete. Until then, please follow onsite detour signage and respect closures necessary for worker and public safety by staying away from areas where construction is taking place.

The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board appreciates the public’s patience while this critical stormwater management and flood prevention project is completed.
