Attend Minnehaha Creek Open Houses April 12 and 17!

The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB), City of Minneapolis and Minnehaha Creek Watershed District (MCWD) are excited to announce two upcoming public open houses scheduled April 12 and April 17. These informal events are designed to begin conversations about four projects that will study, plan and improve Minnehaha Creek and surrounding public space in Southwest Minneapolis.
The open houses will be held Thursday, April 12, 6-8 pm at Lake Nokomis Community Center, 2401 E Minnehaha Parkway, and Tuesday April 17, 6-8 pm at Lynnhurst Recreation Center, 1345 W Minnehaha Parkway.
The meetings will be identical and no formal presentations are planned. Everyone is invited to drop in any time between 6 pm and 8 pm.
Featured Projects
The open houses will feature several projects affecting Minnehaha Creek:
- A new Minnehaha Parkway Regional Trail Master Plan, led by MPRB
- Minnehaha Creek FEMA Flood Repairs, led by MCWD
- The Southwest Harriet Flood Study, led by City of Minneapolis
- Southwest Service Area Master Plan, led by MPRB
