New natural turf grass field opens July 6 with improved drainage and irrigation 

Please join the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB), Hennepin County, McRae Park athletics supporters and participants in the annual Derreck Robinson Green Machine Football and Cheerleading Camp on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at noon for a special grand opening ceremony commemorating the new athletic field at McRae Park.

Grand opening festivities will include:

  • Official ribbon cutting ceremony featuring local officials and neighborhood leaders
  • Build-your-own ice cream sundae bar
  • Face painter

Join the passionate McRae athletics community to celebrate the beginning of a new chapter in its storied history!
