Work Group Meetings for North Service Area Master Plan are open to the public

The public is welcome to attend meetings hosted by three newly established work groups as part of the North Service Area Master Plan (NSAMP), currently underway by the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB).

One work group is dedicated to North Commons Park, while the others focus on northside parks without recreation centers and the parks along Bassett’s Creek in the Bryn Mawr and Harrison neighborhoods. If you have specific interest in any of these topics or parks, attending an upcoming meeting – see details below – and getting involved in a work group is a great way to have your voice heard.

About the NSAMP work groups

  • Formed at the suggestion of members of the NSAMP Community Advisory Committee (CAC)
  • Community-led, with support from MPRB staff
  • Will delve more deeply into their topics, to tackle some of the more complex portions of the overall NSAMP
  • Will bring recommendations into the park design process
  • Will NOT make any final decisions
