Second annual Chain of Lakes Open Swim Classic to take place August 27

The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) is excited to host the second annual Chain of Lakes Open Swim Classic at Lake Calhoun/Bde Maka Ska! The event will take place Sunday, August 27, from 8-11 am at Lake Calhoun-North Beach.

MPRB is proud to offer a beautiful swim across Lake Calhoun/Bde Maka Ska in the heart of Uptown Minneapolis. This Lifeguarded and sanctioned event holds two distances: 1.5 mile and 2.4 mile swim courses crossing Lake Calhoun/Bde Maka Ska. In collaboration with the MPRB Open Swim Club, participants of the club receive a registration discount for the event. This event provides a unique opportunity to swim across one of our city’s greatest treasures. Be a part of the final summer open water swim and connect with the Minneapolis endurance swim community.

Registration is open through August 24. Cost: $65 (minus $15 discount for MPRB Open Swim Club participants).
