Minneapolis ice rinks are closed due to warmer weather

The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) is closing all outdoor skating rinks due to warmer temps. (This excludes the refrigerated Wells Fargo WinterSkate rink Loring Park.) Designated broomball rinks will also remain open.

Skating on ice during warmer temperatures can cause damage to the ice and injure skaters. Closing the rinks (including not watering or sweeping the ice) will help prolong the ice for when the temps cool off.

The rinks will reopen as soon as possible after more seasonable weather returns and rinks can be prepared for safe use. Please check the ice rink status page for the most up-to-date opening and closing information.
