The ride starts at 1 pm and the after-party is 2:30-4:30 pm.\n\nWhat’s a Ramble Ride?\nA Ramble Ride is a build-your-own-adventure bike ride that lets you set your own pace and choose a destination\, but also offers guidance\, emergency maintenance support and a celebratory after-party. \nMinneapolis is one of the best biking cities in the country and this ride highlights how fun it can be to navigate to Minneapolis Park destinations on two wheels! \nThis event is all ages and there’s a route for every level of rider. Your $15 fee gets you a map of destinations\, a food ticket and entrance to the after-party. \nHere’s what to expect: \n\nArrive at the Lake Nokomis Main Beach Pavilion a little earlier than 1 pm on Saturday\, May 16.\nWe’ll reveal the destinations. You can go to one or many within the time allotted. The shortest ride will be a slow ride around Lake Nokomis (just under three miles) and if you make it to all five\, you’ll cover about 20 miles.\nMeet back at Nokomis Beach for the after-party!\n\nThis is a self-supported ride that will take place rain or shine and will only be canceled for severe weather.

DESCRIPTION:Join Friends of the Mississippi River for an evening of tending the woodland on Nicollet Island. \nWith the guidance of FMR staff\, volunteers will pull invasive garlic mustard and dame’s rocket from the woodland. By removing these plants\, volunteers will improve habitat for the native woodland plant and animal species in just a couple of hours\, helping to ensure these patches don’t spread. No experience is needed\, and all tools\, supplies and training will be provided. However\, registration is required and capacity is limited. \nDate: May 20\, 6:00 pm-8:00 pm \nLocation: Nicollet Island Park.
