DESCRIPTION:Help Field Regina Northrop Neighborhood Group restore the Minnehaha Creek woods by removing buckthorn\, garlic mustard and other invasive plant species and adding native grasses\, flowering plants and shrubs. \nDates: Select Wednesdays\, Saturdays and Sundays May-November \nLocation: Meet at 14th Ave S. and Minnehaha Creek (at the footbridge) \nSupplies: Bring your own water bottle\, safety glasses\, bug spray and gloves (we’ll have basic pairs if needed). We will supply training and other equipment. DESCRIPTION:North Mississippi Regional Park Plan Community Advisory Committee to meet on November 20 at Kroening Nature Center \nThe Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) is working on a plan to guide improvements and stewardship at North Mississippi Regional Park for the next 20+ years. \nThe North Mississippi Regional Park Plan is being developed through a collaboration between the project team\, advisory committees\, community groups and park users. This includes a Community Advisory Committee (CAC)\, made up of people who are participating in regularly scheduled meetings to collectively make recommendations about the plan’s content. \nCommunity Advisory Committee Meeting 8 \nThursday\, Nov. 20\, 6-8 pm\nKroening Nature Center\n4900 Mississippi Drive\, Minneapolis\, MN 55430 \nGood to Know \nAll Community Advisory Committee meetings are open to the public and food will be provided at each CAC meeting.
