DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the new pool and playgrounds at Matthews!  \nPlease join Commissioner Scott Vreeland and your Matthews community as we celebrate the completed playground and field improvements and kick off the Kings Fair!  \nTwo new playgrounds have been completed and third is in the works. The pool area was fully replaced and opened over the summer. Both the pool and playground were worn and had elements that needed to be upgraded to meet current safety and accessibility standards.  \nGrand opening festivities will include:  \n\nOfficial ribbon cutting ceremony featuring your local officials and neighborhood leaders\nBalloon animals\nKing’s Fair energy and activities\n\nLook for the Showmobile in the field at 12pm. The tour provides individuals and families the opportunity to enjoy Minneapolis’ spectacular park and trail systems at their own pace\, unhindered by motorized traffic. Proceeds benefit bicycle education\, safety and trail projects. \nChoose from multiple great routes with the start and finish at Boom Island along the beautiful Mississippi in Northeast Minneapolis.
