DESCRIPTION:The first Community Advisory Committee (CAC) meeting for the Hiawatha Golf Course Property Master Plan is scheduled Wednesday\, March 28\, 2018\, 6:30-8 pm at the Lake Nokomis Community Center\, 2401 East Minnehaha Parkway.  \nAt the meeting\, CAC members will meet each other and staff working on the project\, learn about the golf course property site and its history\, and discuss the project\, the CAC’s role and how the CAC will shape project outcomes. \nThe master plan design will not be discussed at the meeting. The project is still in the informative stage and it’s important for everyone to start with a shared understanding of the facts\, history and circumstances surrounding it. We will review the Nokomis-Hiawatha Regional Park Master Plan [PDF]\, passed in 2015\, and July 2017 resolution directing staff to apply for a groundwater appropriations permit and organize a process for amending the Nokomis-Hiawatha Regional Park Master Plan. \nAnyone interested in the project is encouraged to attend.
