All CAC meetings are open to the public and the MPRB encourages anyone interested in the future of Minneapolis recreation centers to attend and participate. \nRecQuest Refresher\nMinneapolis’ demographics are changing rapidly\, making it more important than ever to ensure that the MPRB meets the needs of the city’s diverse stakeholders. Therefore\, the MPRB is developing a plan – RecQuest – for the next generation of recreation centers in Minneapolis. \nThe MPRB operates 49 year-round\, neighborhood-based recreation centers\, and leases two recreation centers to non-profit organizations. Most facilities were built in the 1960s and 1970s and are nearing the end of their useful life. \nRecQuest will set the stage for the next 25-30 years of capital improvements at recreation centers. This plan will set a vision for making parks and public lands more friendly to the environment. \nAn appointed Community Advisory Committee (CAC) will help guide the plan.
