A self-guided\, open-house format will allow visitors to explore the first floor and basement planning rooms of the house. Photos and design plans from the MPRB Archives will tell the story of the home and surrounding Lyndale Farmstead Park. Meet current resident Superintendent Al Bangoura and his wife Kendra and learn of efforts taking place to preserve the home and its place in the city’s history. Meet former resident Mark Ruhe\, son of former Superintendent Robert Ruhe and Dana Wirth Sparks\, great granddaughter of Theodore Wirth. Meet David Smith\, historian and author of City of Parks: The Story of Minneapolis Parks. \nCity of Parks books: A limited quantity of the 2008 book will be available for sale during the event.
