DESCRIPTION:Learn a new skill and try your hand at fruit tree pruning at JD Rivers’ Garden in Theodore Wirth Park. \nCome learn fruit tree pruning techniques from a U of MN extension educator and practice your newfound techniques on our apple\, pear\, plum\, and cherry trees. Tools will be provided.\n\nThis event is for individual aged 18 and over. It will be entirely outdoors\, so dress for the weather. If there is extremely cold or snowy weather forecasted\, a backup date is scheduled for Saturday\, March 7th from 10am-11:30am and you will be notified of the change via email by February 27th.\n\nJD Rivers’ Garden is located at 2900 Glenwood Ave. Street parking is available along the south side of Glenwood Ave and perpendicular streets.\n\nEnroll Now

SUMMARY:Ice Lantern Making at Water Works Park
DESCRIPTION:Drop in for a cozy winter evening at Water Works Park and help light up the park with handmade ice lanterns! Park staff will teach participants how to create ice lanterns by filling ice molds\, setting lanterns in the park\, and lighting them as part of a shared winter display. Fire pits will be available to warm up and enjoy the glow as the lanterns illuminate the riverfront. An indoor space will also be open for participants to take breaks and stay warm.
