Join us for a variety of activities for birders of all skill levels and ages. Learn the basics of birding or go a little more in-depth and identify birds by ear, behavior and habitats.

Program: Early Birders
Time: 7:30 am
Location: Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden and Bird Sanctuary meet in Parking Lot
Description: Do you like to practice finding and identifying birds with others? If yes, then this program is for you. In addition to bird identification, we will learn about birding by ear, bird behavior and bird habitats. Bring binoculars and a field guide or borrow ours.

Program: Birding Basics
Time: 3 pm
Location: Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden and Bird Sanctuary meet at the Martha Crone Visitors Shelter
Description: Beginning birders will learn a few techniques and tips for success with binoculars and field guides and will discover what to look for when identifying birds in the field. Bring binoculars or borrow ours.

Program: Birding at the Quaking Bog
Time: 3 pm
Location: Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden and Bird Sanctuary meet at the Quaking Bog Parking Lot
Description: Find out what birds call the Quaking Bog home! All levels of bird watchers are welcome. We will look for birds nesting in the bog including the Common Yellowthroat and the Red-winged Blackbird. Explore the area around the bog as well as the bog itself. Wear shoes you don't mind getting a little wet.
