Join us July 13th to celebrate the new pump track at Perkins Hill Park!

What: The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) is excited to announce a July 13 opening celebration for the new pump track.

Where: at Perkins Hill Park, 300 34th Ave. N. in Minneapolis’ McKinley Park neighborhood.

When: 4pm-6pm

The 5pm ribbon cutting will include remarks from MPRB Superintendent Al Bangoura and MPRB Commissioners. It takes place in conjunction with Cycling 101, part of MPRB’s Cycle the Summerbike event series, from 4-6pm. Cycling 101 features:

  • A youth-focused bike rodeo hosted by Minneapolis Park Police
  • Bike mechanics teaching basic maintenance and repair skills
  • BMX demos and a Big Air Show, to put the awe in an awesome experience!

See you at Perkins Hill Park!

Note: If you’re coming for the full Cycling 101 event from 4 to 6pm, registration is encouraged.

Help take care of the track:
  • Enter only at the concrete area with a “trailhead” sign.
  • Do not walk or ride on the slopes around the track, where native plant seeds and seedlings are growing. When established, these plants will prevent erosion, and help keep the track in good shape.
