Background
History
Hennepin County is reconstructing County Road 152. A Community Engagement process provided the public opportunities to comment about design options and express concerns related to current conditions. Many concerns centered around vehicular speeding through this corridor and undesirable street crossings. Community desired features focused on upgrades bicycle and pedestrian routes, enhanced pedestrian crosswalks, and better bus access.
MPRB property that will be impacted from this work are Webber Park and Victory Memorial Parkway. Although construction activities may restrict access around the project area, access to Webber Park will be provided during the entire duration of this project.
Some impacts to MPRB property will occur as a result of this project. However, impacts will be mitigated and a Federal 4f review was performed and a determination of De Minimis has been requested.
Detour signage notifies trail users of alternative routes and detailed detour maps should be available later on the Hennepin County project page.
