Snow Tubing at Wirth Winter Recreation Area
Snow tubing at Wirth Winter Recreation Area is closed for the season.
Wirth Winter Recreation Area offers a snow tubing hill complete with a tow rope, and our own specially designed tubes to make getting up the hill quick, comfortable and fun! Nighttime lighting and our snowmaking machine keep the excitement going all winter long. Your lift ticket includes daily tube rental to make getting on the hill quick and easy!
After a day on the hill, warm up and refuel at the bar and grill inside the Wirth Chalet, which offers sandwiches and gyros, burgers, hot dogs, pizza, soup, snacks, and beverages, plus free wireless Internet.

Customers are required to use the park’s snow tubes. Children must be at least 4 years old or 42" tall.
Note: To ensure safety during our busiest times (Saturdays and Sundays), tubing hill admission and tube rentals will be available for dedicated time blocks. The admission cost is good for one time block with a discounted rate of $5 available for each additional time block on the same day.
School's Out Camps for Kids
School's Out Instructors have a day of fun planned for your kids this winter. Camps include beginner cross-country ski lessons, beginner Learn-to-Ride snowboard instruction, snow tubing, rental equipment, plus lunch and warm refreshments in the Wirth Chalet. Space is limited.

1-Day Camp: $75.00 + tax

Wild Winter Wednesdays Start January 9, 2013
Youth ages 4-17 can take advantage of Wirth’s Wild Winter Wednesdays, from 4-7:45 pm and get a free snow tube and tow rope use.
Tubes are available on a first come, first serve basis. Group reservations are not available on Wild Winter Wednesdays.

Snow Tubing Parties at Wirth
The Wirth Winter Recreation Area is an amazing facility to host snow tubing parties. We offer private banquet facilities, catering services, snow tubing hill, tubes, and tow rope, and free Wi-Fi.

Sledding Near Theodore Wirth Park
Sunset Hill is the designated sledding nearest to Wirth Park; it’s located just a half-mile north of the Wirth Winter Recreation Area on Theodore Wirth Parkway at 26th Ave. N in Valley View Park. Admission is free, bring your own sled, snow tube or toboggan. Call 763-522-4584 for more information.
Sledding at Columbia
The designated sledding hill at Columbia Golf Club is one of the steepest hills in northeast Minneapolis. Bring your own sled; snow tube rentals are also available for $5. Concessions are available in the Golf Clubhouse on Saturdays, Sundays, holidays and school release days. Call 612-789-2627 for more information.

Sledding Safety
The MPRB recognizes that sledding occurs at other parks on an “at your own risk” basis. While some parks are more sled-friendly than others, please exercise caution when using these non-designated sledding areas; never sled toward traffic and avoid hills with trees nearby.
