Skate Parks
The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) is currently in the process of creating a citywide skate park plan. You can learn more by visiting the project web page.
The MPRB's six current skate parks opened in 2003-2004. The skateboard parks are geographically distributed throughout Minneapolis with one in each commissioner district.
Skate Parks
The skate parks have structures such as ramps and rails made of high-grade weather resistant materials that sit on a bituminous or concrete surface of approximately 6,000 sq. feet. The skate parks appeal to a wide range of age groups and offer challenges for a wide range of skill levels.
